Privacy Policy — Detect AI Video

Introduction

Detect AI Video ("we", "the Service", available at detectaivideo.app) checks how likely a video is to be AI-generated. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

1. Account information: your email address and name, if you create an account.
2. Check records: a SHA-256 fingerprint of the sampled frames, the number of frames, the scores, and the time of the check.
3. Usage and device data: how you use the Service, and your device and browser type.
4. Cookies and analytics: small files for sign-in and preferences, and analytics tools that show how the Service is used.
5. Payment information: handled by our payment providers. We don't store card details.

How Your Videos Are Handled

• Your video never leaves your device. Your browser samples one frame every 2 seconds and sends only those images, over HTTPS.
• We pass the images to our detection provider, Sightengine, which scores them under its own privacy policy. We don't store the images.
• We keep the fingerprint and the scores so a repeat check of the same frames is free. A fingerprint can't be turned back into images, but anyone submitting identical frames gets the saved result.
• We don't use your videos to train AI models.
• Please don't upload videos you have no right to share, or that show private or sensitive content.

How We Use Information

To run the checks, enforce limits, process payments, send service messages, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers that help run the Service (hosting, detection, payments, email, analytics), or when the law requires it. We don't sell personal information.

Your Choices

You can delete your account in Settings, or ask us to access or delete your data at support@detectaivideo.app.

Children

The Service isn't meant for children under 13.

We'll update this page and its date when this policy changes.
